WB Golden Champagne Fizz:
(Rosmel's Golden Wonder x WB Champagne Split) 4/18/2007
This little girl gave us a run for our money trying to guess what color she would be. Born a flaxen apricot color with pale grey eyes, she shed out to a dark golden liver chestnut. (See Golden as a baby for color.) She is cute, with wide set eyes and stocky build. Fizz is 12.3 hh and is currently lunging and being bitted. She is scheduled to go to the trainer this summer. $1000 September 2008: A hair sample sent to UC Davis shows that Fizz is genetically BLACK, with a silver dilution gene that dilutes her black color to a flaxen liver chestnut appearance. Although chestnut in appearance, she cannot produce a chestnut, and is homozygous for black. Results: E/E a/a N/Z
